From 29 October to 6 November 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique to the Kingdom of Sweden hosted a technical assistance mission from the Document Appraisal Commission (CAD) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MINEC). The mission supported the organization and processing of the Embassy’s records under the National State Archives System (SNAE), which also applies to Mozambique’s representations abroad.
The team, comprising Elísio dos Santos, Carlito Agostinho, Amelia Daie and Délira Tsave, appraised the Embassy’s records to determine their retention periods and final disposition—permanent preservation or disposal, subject to applicable procedures—using SNAE’s records management instruments.
This initiative makes a valuable contribution to improving the Mission’s records management by supporting the organization, preservation, and retrieval of information, as well as safeguarding its institutional memory. It also represents a preparatory step toward digitizing the archives and progressively introducing electronic records management solutions.
The Embassy acknowledges the valuable technical support from CAD and reaffirms its commitment to modernizing administrative procedures and to ensuring the proper preservation of the State’s documentary heritage in its custody.
