Identification and form

Passport: copy of the identification pages.

Residence in the Nordic countries: copy of a valid residence permit. non-Nordic nationals only

Visa application form: complete and sign both pages; attach a photograph in the top corner before scanning. Download the form

Contract and work authorisation

Employment contract: copy of the contract or work agreement.

Work authorisation: issued by the competent Mozambican authorities. employees

Independent professions: work authorisation and evidence of professional eligibility. independent professionals

Special cases

Cooperation agreements: authorisation from the Minister responsible for cooperation.
Religious organisations: authorisation from the Minister responsible for religious affairs and a statement of responsibility from the organisation.

Personal guarantees, health and background checks

Financial evidence: one page of a bank statement demonstrating sufficient means of support.

Accommodation: evidence of accommodation in Mozambique.

Travel: copy of tickets or travel reservation.

Medical certificate.

Criminal record certificate: issued by the country of origin or residence within the past year, stamped by the issuing country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Repatriation guarantee: statement of responsibility for possible repatriation of the applicant and dependants, with a copy of the signatory’s identity card.

Company or employer

Only where the employer is not a state-owned company or an Embassy

Business licence (alvará).

Tax identification / VAT registration (NUIT / IVA).

Social security registration (INSS).

Tax clearance certificate.

AuthorisationThe process requires SENAMI approval in Maputo. Fees are not refunded if the visa is refused.

Complete applicationsIncomplete applications will not be processed. The Embassy may request additional documents.
